The eight-time Grammy winner died shortly after 7:00 p.m . EDT at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem , NC after undergoing surgery for an impacted colon last week . Bluegrass Today Life Goes On video from MACC John Lawless May 29, 2012 0 Comments Rural Rhythm has released a music video for the title track from Life Goes On the second all-star recording from Musicians Against Childhood Cancer . The album captures live performances at the MACC festival between 2006 and 2011, where artists donate their time to benefit the St . Jude’s Children’s Research . Hospital Life Goes On the song is the sole exception , recorded in the studio to be included with the live tracks . Darrell Adkins , with his wife Phyllis , have managed the festival as a fundraiser since losing their daughter to brain cancer in 2000.
